Forwarding data

Forgotten to add someone or need to share with extra people?

Updated over 6 months ago

Available on MX Business Premium and MX Business Enterprise.

MX by default allows the sender of data to always be able to go back and forward data to other MX users.

As the sender, you only need to tick the forward option if you wish to allow recipients to forward transactions to other users.

As sender

The transaction number stays the same and you will continue to have visibility and control of the transaction throughout any changes. You always have the ability to 'revoke' any future recipient, preventing them from downloading the data.

If the data is sensitive, leave the option switched off and forwarding will not be possible.

To allow forwarding, tick the option highlighted in the image below on the Send page.

As recipient

You will have visibility of the originating user / company and the original transaction contents (existing functionality).

In addition, you will have the ability to forward to another MX user inside this MX customer; internal users can forward to anyone, external users can forward to internal users and any user who is in the same external organisation (i.e. your colleagues in the same organisation name).

On the download page (as the sender or recipient), you can select 'add recipient'.

Add a new comment that will be emailed to the new recipients.

Search for user(s) in the address book.

Click Add Recipients to forward the data.
