Understand why the file / folder names affect the upload process

If you see the below error when trying to send data, please check the troubleshooting information here first.

If you have tried clearing your browser cache and there are no issues caused by VPN or your internet connection, the most likely issue is the presence of non-standard ('special') characters either in the file or folder name that you are trying to upload.

Characters like the tilde (~) may not be read by the native Windows zip program which reads the upload contents prior to sending.

If you can remove these special characters first, that will minimise the chance of issues. If that is not possible, compressing ('zipping') the data beforehand will remove the error and allow your data to go through.
