MX will accept zip, 7zip (7z) or RAR file formats.
Password protected zip and 7zip (7z) files can be read and the contents listed.
If the option to encrypt filenames is also selected, MX will not be able to read and list the contents.
Zip has a limitation in terms of reading special characters, so if you have characters from non-English language, please use the 7zip file format, which will preserve the display of characters (and therefore can be searched more accurately on the Activity page).
Spanned archive files (7z.001) are not recommended because the file contents cannot be interrogated
